Following the Wind of Jeju
It was such a fickle weather that day. Drizzling all day, and the wind was so strong that it was hard to stand properly. Somebody’s hair fluttered restlessly, and people kept turning up their collars against the wind. It was not welcoming weather for the tourists who expected a shiny, glorious weather of Jeju. However it was never a bad trip in a way. The rainy and foggy Jeju was so atmospheric, and such unpredictability made the journey somewhat exciting. We occasionally dream an unscheduled trip to somewhere when we are on a jam-packed subway train every morning, reaching to the same place for work every day, having almost same lunch every afternoon, and sick of seeing the same scene outside the bus window on the way back home every evening. The boredom of the daily routine urges us to feel like going on a trip and roaming here and there like a wind.On a trip, however, we are often bound to a tight schedule, and it might be hard to feel the freedom we want. It is sometimes so enjoyable to wander as if following the wind blowing without anticipating where we are head. When you travel Jeju Island, it is better to put down the camera at some point, and just focusing on feeling the strength and temperature of the wind and listening to the sound of the wind blowing. The feel of the wind of Jeju touching your skin and the smell of the wind playing on your clothes would be clearly different from those in the city.
